OUR Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) run under the care of Professor Dr. M Monir Hossain, who is one of the Best Neonatal Medicine & NICU Specialist in Bangladesh. Prof Hossain began working to gradually improve the Neonatal services at Dhaka Shishu (Children) Hospital and Critical Care Pediatrics (NICU, PICU, CICU) at Universal Medical College and Hospital Ltd (Former Aysha Memorial Specialized Hospital) providing the best services possible and innovating to do the best work and maximize extremely limited resources. For more then a decade he has been involved in several multi-site and multi country research projects with Johns Hopkins University, USA and Imperial College, London, UK as PI and Co-PI.
He has authored more then 35 publications in peer-reviewed journals at home and abroad mostly related to Neonatal Sepsis and Critical Care in Neonatology. He is the author of 4 books in Neonatology and Pediatrics. Prof Hossain is the Secretary General of Bangladesh Society of Pediatric Critical Care, a forum for Neonatal, Cardiac, Renal and Pediatric Critical Care Specialist in Bangladesh.
