Dr. Ruksana Parvin qualified MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College in 2003. After that she received her surgical training from Sylhet MAG Osmani medical college and hospital in 2005. She was also trained in casualty and plastic and reconstructive surgery in Dhaka Medical College and hospital in 2007. She was awarded with Fellowship in Surgery (FCPS) from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) on 2012 . She also has training in Plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ruksana joined Dhaka Community medical college and hospital as registrar. She later joined at MH Samorita Hospital and Medical College as Assistant Professor surgery in 2013. On 2017 She was promoted to Associate Professor of surgery at her hospital. She is one of the skilled, talented and gifted female surgeon of Bangladesh.She has performed more than thousands of breast and colorectal surgeries. She is practicing general, laparoscopic, breast-reconstructive and colorectal surgery for last ten years. She is one of the founder member of Association of Breast Surgeons of Bangladesh (ABSB). She has many publications in different national journals. She also attended many surgical conferences in home and abroad. Her interest is in breast cancer, breast reconstruction, colorectal cancer, laparoscopic surgery etc. She is from Sylhet District.
